How far into pregnancy can you change your GYN doc?!

Question: How far into pregnancy can you change your GYN doc!?
Im starting to wonder how smart my doc is!. She is not very helpful when it comes to things simple things like what meds are safe during breastfeeding, she basically says everything you cant use while pregnant still isnt safe while breastfeeding which I know isnt true!. I also told her I have a breast cyst and I had to ask her to take a ultrasound in order to better screen it!. She is starting to scare me when it comes to common sense things and she is not very up beat!. I only have 5 weeks to go!. I really trust her colleague more!. Can I switch with her or is it too late!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Definitely change!. It's your body and your baby!. It is never too late to change doctors or get a second opinion!.
Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can change anytime!.It may be a little awkward if it is her colleague that you wish to switch to,but if you don't trust your Dr!.,it will be a good trade in order to feel the trust
Remember-YOU are employing the Dr,without patients she would have no job,you call the shots, and please!.!.!.if you feel the slightest bit uncomfortable, don't hesitate to switch!.It's your baby and you that are most important!.Follow your instincts!.
The first thing a mother learns is how to listen to her instincts!.It's not always easy, but when they talk to you, listen, because you will almost certainly be right!.
Good luck with the new baby & the new Dr~!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can def switch!. And I would!. The lady above me said it perfectly : Your body, Your baby!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

guess it depends on your healthcare plan, but; B R A V O on being proactive on breastfeeding!. You're going to find that, even though the medical profession says it's best to breastfeed; every single doctor you go to: primary, ob/gyn, pediatrician and every specialist I've even seen will tell you to stop breastfeeding at the drop of a hat for no reason at all!. There are only a small amount of medications which ACTUALLY contraindicate breastfeeding, but if you read the package inserts to just about every single medication on earth; it will say not recommended while breastfeeding!. take a peek at cafe mom (a "myspace" type website for moms only)!. you can find all sorts of support and advice from the pros (moms that have been there and done that, not some snooty idiot that just fell off the turnip truck from med school)!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
