Question: Why do people wait so long to get an abortion!?!?!?!?
Personally I am pro LIFE, but I can understand the urgent need for an abortion if a woman has been raped, molested, life at risk etc!. But the truth is that is such a SMALL percentage of abortion cases!. I am sickened that women are getting abortions after 20 weeks!
My question is WHY wait so long!?!?!? If you want to get an abortion, why not get one IMMEDIATELY!!?! Or better yet, get your butt on birth control, or even better run to the abortion experts planned parenthood, they have the morning after pill (Which I think should be available OTC)!. I see no reasonable explanation to get a late term abortion!.
And for all those who have the nerve to say it's a womans body etc, did you ever think about the BABY's body that will be ripped to shreds!?!? THAT is the body people should be concerned about, not some lazy, primitive woman who is suddenly inconvenienced! I understand accidents happen, I had an unplanned pregnancy and now have a wonderful daughter who is now my best friend!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree 100%, it makes me sick!. I am currently in the middle of an unplanned pregnancy, 39 weeks to be exact!.!.!. I would never be able to live with myself if I had gotten an abortion!. I take life as it comes at me and if that means I screwed up and got pregnant, so be it!. Life is full of little miracles!. But to your question!.!.!. Why do people wait until 20 weeks or so for an abortion, it's dusgusting to think about because in 17 short weeks THAT fetus that people rip to shreds could be a little baby making it on it's own!. I'm pro choice, but mostly because I am not a woman, and I shouldn't tell anyone else what to do with their body!.
On that note, I think late term/partial birth abortions are incredibly wrong!. Anything after the first trimester should just not be!. Period!. I am, wholly against the 24 week+ abortions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't agree with women who use abortion as a method of birth control but I do agree with it if the pregancy is the result of rape or if the child would be so seriously handicapped it would have no real quality of life (and I know saying that will ruffle feathers)!.
I think women delay in abortion because:-
1) Busy lives, they don't keep a record of their due dates!.
2) They don't take a pregnancy test, instead they come on here and say "Am I pregnant!?"!.
3) They wait and speak to friends / family / partner about what to do which is fine, but this all takes time!.
4) The old "If I ignore it, it'll go away" syndrome!.
5) Ashamed to go to the Doctor and admit they got pregnant - a friend of mine was on the pill but was ill and fell pregnant!. The Doc gave her such a tough time about it!.
6) For some youngsters, the lack of sex education - that you "can't get pregnant standing up / the first time you have sex, etc"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

this is such a great question and i cant wait to see the repsonses (even though half of them well probably be somehwhat cruel) i hate how they dont even think of the baby inside of them as a human and there like noo its just a fetus what are u talking about give it a couple of months and it'll be a baby a living thing thats growing inside of you!.!.!.!.i dont see why they just can give it up for adoption maybe its because they dont want the humiliation of being pregnant but isnt that being a bit selfish!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont know how anyone can be indecisive about pregnancy for so long, usually people love the idea of having a baby until reality kicks in and use abortion as a secondary means of contraception!. If your really not ready for kids you should get sorted with depo-provera, microgynon, the coil!.!.!.!.or even better, use condoms and prevent an unwanted STI while your at it!. - need to figure out if its the right thing to do
- in denial about being pregnant
- relationship with lover might go bad due to pregnancy, leaving her single and scared
- might have problems getting access to abortion provider
