Question: If you were told that you needed major female surgery, would you go for a second opinion!?
I feel really strongly about unnecessary hysterectomies and General Anesthesia!. My doctor is insisting on doing both!. I advised him that I've had numerous bad reactions to being put under, and he said "That's the way I work and it isn't open to discussion!."
I need some "female repair work!.!.!.things lifted back into place mainly" I have no bleeding problems or any problems that would warrant a hysterectomy!.!.!.!.and when I asked why he insisted on doing this, he said it would be "better for me in the long run!."
I'm not childbearing age, but I'm not menopausal either!. I made an appointment with another doctor for a second opinion!. I don't see why this type of surgery can't be done under a spinal or epidural!.

SECOND OPINION and a new doctor !.!.!.!. I had a hysterectomy when I was 24 I'm now 46 and wish so bad I had gone for a second opinion (it wasn't the norm then)!. Please go and get a second opinion from someone who isn't within your current doctor's practice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Any time you do not agree with a doctor, you should seek a second opinion!. I would be concerned as to why he wants you to have a hysterectomy if you are not having any problems!. If you have had problems with anesthesia, you can request an anesthesiologist be present to control the anesthesia and to watch for reactions!. If I were you tho, I would find another doctor for a second opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There are lots of alternatives!. I suggest getting a second or even third opinion!. Now they are doing so many things thru laser and with a spinal or epi!. Get another opinion!. He sounds cocky!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
