Normal cycles are spaced between 24 and 35 days apart!. It is normal for cycles to fluctuate within this range, but anything out of this range needs to be evaluated by a doctor!. Period abnormalities can be due to many things including stress, weight gain/loss, thyroid, hormonal imbalance, infection, illness, medications, polyp, cyst, amongst other reasons!. The only way to know for sure exactly what is going on is to see a doctor for an evaluation!.
If however the bleeding is heavy in which you are changing one or more pads or tampons in an hour or less, you need to see a doctor immediately as this is considered excessive bleeding and can lead to anemia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it depends how old you are and how long you've been having your periods!. I've had mine for almost 4 years and mine range from being a 13 day cycle to a 30 day cycle, i guess i'm just irregular!. But if this has never happened before perhaps talk to your mum about it or go to the doctor!.
