Is there a permenant birth control that you can get when you are 18?!

Question: Is there a permenant birth control that you can get when you are 18!?
Im 18 and i have never wanted to have children!. ever!. end of story!. all of my friends always go "aww" when they see a baby, but i honestly dont see the cuteness in it!. i have, however, always wanted to adopt three children, all of them atleast 7 years old when i adopt them!. i dont want to add any unnecesary numbers to the growing population of this country, when there are plenty of needy children already!. i want to help out a child by giving them a loving home, i just dont want to have any of my own!.

i was wondering if there was any form of permenant birth control that i could have if i am only 18!. i was thinking about ensure(sp)!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
i commend your views!. that said, as strong as they are, they could change!. i have never wanted children!.!.!. until i met my fiance!. he really wanted to be a father, and would have made a wonderful one, and he is highly intelligent and i believe the gene pool could actually benefit from his input!. unfortunately, due to health problems, i can't have children!.
i'd recommend discussing it with your doctor!. there's alot of options, such as IUDs or norplant which can last for several years, or a birth control injection (depo-provera) you can get once every three months!. all are free of the hassle of remembering to take a birth control pill every day!.
and remember, play safe (use condoms!)!. though, with your mature attitude, i'm sure that's an unnecessary reminder!.

and in response to some of the earlier comments, i'm sure no sane doctor would perform a hysterectomy as birth control when it's major surgery, and tubal ligation is much easier and safer, with less side effects!. and *no* doctor would perform a radical hysterectomy (removal of the fallopian tubes and ovaries along with the uterus) only for birth control reasons, that would just be malpractice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah, i would say to get your tubes tied!. I think your views on not adding more humans to the population are very mature, thank goodness there are some people like you!. Unfortunately, my desire to have my own baby is very strong, and although i agree with your beliefs, i know i will one day try for my own biological child!.
Well done you, for wanting to help other children!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no,because no gyn would give you a tuble and you never had a child!. and its permant!.and beileve me you won'ted want one anyway!.you can do two things you dont get pregant 1 don't have sex, 2 get you a good birth-contoll method, the diafram is good so is the pills there 98%effected <Which every you choose make your man wear the comdons!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

get an IUD, they last 5-10 years!. Some doctors don't like to put them in non-moms cause the cervix is often too small to make implantation easy, but other will do it it depends on what your cervix is like!. If it's taken a few beatings in it's day it might be open enough for them to get it in lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Be carefull!. Life changes you!. I NEVER wanted kids at 18!. I have 3 and I'd never swap the experience for the world!. Nothing compares!. I don't know what I was thinking!. BUt I still don't like other kids!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just take out your uterus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

get your tubes tiedWww@Answer-Health@Com

yes it the best, don't have sexWww@Answer-Health@Com

There are procedures available such as having your tubes tied or a hysterectomy!. Both of which are radical, risky, permanent procedures and id hope that most doctors would refuse to do this to you based on your age and having no children!.

You are still young and though you know now what you want to do in terms of kids (good for you) you've still got 25 years in which time you are very likely to change your mind!. Not being able to have children can be heart wrenching and you might sincerely regret this decision!.

There are long term contraceptives available- the copper IUD which can last 10 years and the mirena which can last 5 years are much more suitable, reversible contraceptives to consider!.

You never know what the future brings, so if you get your tubes tied now, there's no turning back, and you can bring a lot of psychological and emotional stress not only on yourself but on your partner too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

At your young age it is highly unlikely that a doctor will allow you to become sterilized!. Usually it involves 'spaying' you like the cat!. They take your reproductive internal organs, which sounds great, but it's not!. You then go into early menopause, which totally sucks!. You get all the horrible symptoms of menopause, hormonal fluctuations, brittle bones, and other problems!.

You shoudn't get sterilized at your age!. It could have serious repercussions on your health, and if at a later date you choose to have kids, you won't be able to biologically!. Just put up with being fertile for a few more years!.

I strongly doubt you will be allowed to get sterilized!. A doctor would be quite negligent in allowing you to do that at your age!. Unless you have cancer or some other disease of the reproductive organs, I don't think you'll be able to get it done, because it isn't reversible!.

I recommend you consider getting an implant!. That will make you 'infertile' for a few years until it wears off!.
