Bikini shaving or waxing advice???!

Question: Bikini shaving or waxing advice!?!?!?
I would like to know how many women shave their pubic area!? I mean, sometimes when I'm trying to shave my bikini area, there doesn't seem to be the right stopping place!. I've gone completely "brazillian" a few times (at home; not professionally) but I just wondered how other women keep it that way, how often they have to shave and if they are able to get every single hair on the "lips" area!. I have trouble there and it seems so course after getting everything else smooth!. Any tips!. (And I don't want to go have it done!)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Waxing hurts, plain and simple, just hurts!. But it is more accomendational!. I remove all hair with a razor and to me it is easier in the bath tub rather than shower, use a razor with built in shave cream, intuition or venus, so you can see what you are doing and remove all the hair that you can, hold your lips taught, not tight, but you know!. after that take shaving cream not a lot just enough to cover but you should still be able to see skin and take a regular razor and go back over everything and you should be smooth!. unfortunatley it will not last long and if you do not shave, however you want, every other day or so it will itch like nothing you have ever felt!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all, shaving makes the hair coarser, and it's not good for your skin!.

Waxing is the best way to go about it, but do not attempt to do a full Brazilian on yourself!

If the reason you don't want to have it done professionally is a comfort issue, it's really not that bad! It's toally professional and comfortable, well as comfortable as it could be, but it's really not weird like a lot of people might think!. A good way to go might just be to go in for a bikini wax, and then next time go for the Braz, and you'll feel more comfortable!. Or get your legs done, then go back for the Braz!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You shouldn't shave it, it grows back thicker everytime! You'll be gorilla woman if you let it grow!!! ;) thats my nickname for down there when i was in high school i used to shave it and i cant believe how thick and long it gets when i dont tidy it! Use a shaving gel, and a really great razor if you must shave, i guess in time you will begin to wax!.!.!. IPL is better thoughWww@Answer-Health@Com

You need to try the Noxzema mini razors, for that area!. I use it all over down there and it works great!. And it has a moisture strip to protect you from razor burn, never got razor burn from these!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Shaving does not make your hair grow back 'thicker' as in more hair follicles develop!.!.!. it just cuts the hair off at a blunt angle, causing the re-growth the appear and feel more coarse than hair that has naturally shed and re-grown!.

Also, hair (every bit of it on your body) has three growth stages!.!.!. ever wonder how you can get a hair brush full of hair every week yet never go bald!? when you remove it via shaving, waxing or whatever means you choose!.!.!. you interrupt that cycle and eventually all the hair follicles you have produce hair at what seems like the same rate!. This is why waxing although painful, is more and more effective every time you do it!. (same as laser hair removal and electrolysis!.!.!. you can't get it all in just one visit because you have more than one cycle of hair growth)

if this is something you want to continue to do, I'd recommend waxing!. Once you get past the initial embarrassing 'ice breaker' of meeting the person who will be waxing you, it gets easier with each visit because you are comfortable with her!.

I agree that taking an analgesic such as IB Profen (advil, motrin) appx 30 mins prior to your appointment is a good idea!. With each consecutive treatment, the hair does grow in more in one stage, thus the result will last longer with each visit, also the hair does grow in finer!.

Shaving is cheaper and quick and more person, but it can lead to uncomfortable razor burn and ingrown hairs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Here are some shaving and waxing tips and product recommendations
Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Fess up: What mom doesn't save time in the winter by not shaving!? But now we're in the hottest stretch of summer, when shorts and tank tops are lifesavers, so you've gotta do what you've gotta do!. Here's our take on the various ways to get smooth skin:

Shaving is still the quick and cheap route!. To prevent nicks, shave at the end of your shower, when hair is softer and easier to cut!. Smooth on shaving cream or gel (hair conditioner works in a pinch), then shave against the hair growth!. For underarm hair (which grows in every direction), shave up, down, and side to side!. For a smoother bikini shave, pull the skin taut to cut hair close to the root!.

Waxing is the long-lasting fix!. It keeps hair away for up to six weeks!. It's not pain-free, but then again, it's nothing like giving birth! Consider taking a pain reliever 30 minutes before you wax, or trying an over-the-counter topical pain reliever such as LMX Topical Anesthetic Cream, which numbs skin for up to an hour!. (It's also recommended for babies before shots!.)

Depilatory (hair-removal) creams are a middle ground!. You get really smooth skin with no pain, though you do have to battle the strong smell!. It takes about 10 minutes for most products to work - leaving them on longer than the suggested time can result in skin irritation!. We like Sally Hansen's Spa Gel Hair Remover!.

Basically, they remove all hair (front and back) to make sure that skimpy G-String doesn't expose a snarlin' squirrel pelt!.

My close friend and I save the expense and discomfort of waxing by helping each other shave!. Its a fun prelude to an interesting evening!

Besides, hot wax irritates and depilatory chemicals leave a nasty-tasting residue!. (believe me, I know!)

That can't be good for your health and certainly won't enhance your love life!. A quick shave with a cheap disposable razor and soothing shaving cream leaves an intoxicating pleasant aroma!. At least, that's been my experience!.

I just hate paying a stranger to buff my biscuit!.
I despise the appointments, driving, parking and waiting too!.

Gentle shaving is safe, fast, easy and practically free!. A quick touch-up takes just seconds in the shower, or just a little longer if you enjoy the process!.

Try both!.!.!. then decide what's best for you!

These mini razors are specifically for the bikini line, which requires precision!. A comb lifts long hair so it's easier to cut!.
