hemroid operation!. I'm 30 years old and i need to get teh surgery but i have no more vaca days or sick days and just wondering how much time you need to take off!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

A minimum of one week!. I had it done and was surprisingly amazed that I had no pain following surgery! I probably could have gone back to work sooner but chose not to because I had my surgery done where I work!!! I'm an operating room nurse and chose my scrub nurse and circulating nurse (my two best friends) and had it done under MAC (managed anesthesia care/local)!. We refer to it as "Big MAC"!. I remember moving from the stretcher to the OR bed, my anesthetist friend telling me I would feel some burning in my arm as the meds went in (and I did), and then moving back to the stretcher!. I have no recall of the surgery at all!!! My main concern was pain with the first BM; but I had NO pain! It would be nice if your employer would recognize how much easier for you it would be to schedule your surgery; even without vacation time!. It would be much more difficult on you if one of the hemorrhoids thrombosed and you had to be done as an emergency! Good luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com
