Question: I have the IUD mirena is it normal to be spotting since i've had it and it's been 5 months!?

I also have this IUD and have spotting!. I asked my Gyno and she informed me it is normal for certain people to have irregular periods/spotting!. They have no idea which people will have this, but it is normal!. If you are concerned though, you should make an appointment to go get checked!. I am getting tired of the spotting myself!. But figure it is better than a heavy period or pregnancy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had Mirena for 1 1/2 years and up until about 6 months ago i was spotting on and off!. I made an appointment because like you i was concerned!. My doctor told me not worry that it was completly normal!. That once my body got used to the IUD it would stop and it has!. I do not have periods at all anymore!. But i can always tell when I am supposed to have a period!. I get a little moody and my breasts get really tender!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
