It is possible!. Phantom pain is a completely real and serious type of pain!. It is not "made up" by the patient!.!.!.it is actually felt!. It usually takes awhile for your brain to get the message to stop sending signals to the absent body part!. It most likely is phantom pain, because the surgeon would have noticed if there was anything else in the area that was damaged or diseased!. I would definitely bring it up to your doctor!. Trust me, you won't sound crazy!.!.!.it's important to tell healthcare professionals everything on your mind, or they can't treat you 100%!Www@Answer-Health@Com

the surgery was definitely the right thing if it had started to become necrotic!. that sort of thing can spread if left untreated and can be fatal!. i would definitely tell your doctor about the pain and describe it as clearly as possible to him/her!. it could be infection, phantom pain, from still healing, or a number of other things!. s/he can't treat if if they don't know it's there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be pain from the surgery, nerves rejoining etc!. I would ask your doctor!. I doubt it is phantom pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
