Have you ever experienced recurrent yeast infections around the time of your men!

Question: Have you ever experienced recurrent yeast infections around the time of your menstrual cycle!?
Serious postings only please!. As you know yeast is not an STD---been tested with wet mount and culture, blood etc, married with no straying so STD is not the answer I am seeking!. If you have this problem, do you find that it disrupts your life and what do you do for your prevention, meds (frequency) and other treatments!? OB said that my Ph changes monthly, and understandibly, but most females do too, with no problem!. Did not have this problem in previous years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your OB is correct!. Females are more prone to yeast infections around the period because of pH changes!.
However, you may want to check to see if your husband's hygiene patterns have changed within the past year or so!. Males can get yeast infections also!. I've heard of some males having worse pain/itching than females, and some males that have way less symptoms!. Check to see if your husband's hygiene patterns have changed possibly causing him to develop a yeast infection and give it to you (which can happen during intercourse)!.

I've been told by my Gyno!. and a health seminar I attended a year or so ago that if you experience more than two yeast infections a year that you want to talk with your own Gyno!. about treatment and possible underlying causes that may make you prone to contracting the infection!.

I wish I could be of more help, but I hope that aids you a bit and gets you started on discovering the cause!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
