Not sure the difference between doctors?!
Question: Not sure the difference between doctors!?
I had the hellp syndrome with my first child 8 years ago and now ttc!. I was told to use a high risk ob gyn but when I call regular ob gyn's some have no clue (they know the hellp syndrome but "high risk doctors office) what I'm talking about when I tell them what I had!. I tried to look it up in the phone book and on the internet but no help!.
Any help on how to find out what I need to ask in looking for a doctor would be great!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
perinatologist specialize in high risk pregnacy, but the hellp syndrome isnt something that particularly recurrent, so a normal ob/gyn should be sufficient!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Start with your reg family doctor and see if s/he can make any recommendations for you!. Can you contact your doc that treated you with the 1st pregnancy, if you can maybe they can give you a recommendation!.!.
Other than that just call everyone in the book and ask specifically if they treat and are they familiar with hellp syndrome!.
Maybe you can find a site that has "locate a dr in your area"
Here is one site
