I had that problem too!. For many years I couldn't wear tampons at all because they just weren't comfortable & I was always worried about it falling out or leaking!. I hated pads and changed them like a dozen times a day!

After a long time I tried again with tampons!. I had to try lots of different types and sizes!. I know what you mean when you say it feels like it's breaching your cervix, but know that it isn't, it's just not the right one for you!.

I ended up buying lots of small packs of tampons, different types of applicators, different absorbencies, etc!. My college roommate was cool about sharing boxes with me when I bought something not right for me (and vice versa)!.

Finally I found the Pearl multipack and found one that suited me!. Try assortment packs and don't give up until you're satisfied!. If it gets too frustrating, ask your feminine health practitioner!. You have a right to be comfortable!.

Confession: I got so unhappy with my period I went to get Seasonale (4 times a year periods) and ended up with a hysterectomy due to uterine tumors!. Don't suffer needlessly!. I hope you don't have tumors, but I've got to say, I don't miss my periods AT ALL!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If they're in correctly, you shouldn't feel them, so something's not right!. :-)

Most likely, you're not putting it in far enough!. Assuming you're using tampons with an applicator, you want to get the fingers of the hand holding the applicator right up against the opening to your vagina (not the outer vulva lips) and push the applicator plunger all the way down!.

You should have the applicator angled back towards your bottom when inserting it, if you push straight up, you'll probably bump into your cervix!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe your ureathra isn't wide enough yet so I would just continue practicing how to insert them but to answer your question yes you are putting it in wrong but dont worry your not the first to have done that you wont be the lastWww@Answer-Health@Com

You might need to see your doctor about this if you feel discomfort that shouldn't be there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

could be u are using one that is too big !.!. the position you put it in has alot to do with the comfort of it!.!.Most of us will try to use a tampon at some time, so it's important to know how to insert a tampon the right way!. It might seem tricky at first, but after trying several times, tampon insertion becomes as easy as putting on a glove!.

The key is to RELAX! Worrying about it may make you tense, making insertion even harder!. Read the package instruction leaflet carefully, and practice inserting a tampon during your period when your flow is moderate to heavy!. The tampon should glide in easily!. Lubricating the rounded end of the tampon applicator with a water-based gel for the first few tries can also be helpful!. And by the way, don't use a petroleum-based jelly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You sound like you are either using them wrong or the wrong size!. Try the new slim fitting tampons, tampons should be completely in your vagina, if it is uncomfortable try to use your finger to push a bit further up or situate it to where it is comfortable, insert it while standing with one foot up on the toilet or bathtub not while sitting or lie on your bed and insert it!. If all else fails, go to your gyno and tell them what is going on and they can help, my mom is a gyno and she helps girls do this two or three times a week!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
