Question: Smear test result!?
hi im waiting my smear test results in 2 weeks but in 2 weeks im going for holiday for 1 month!.im worry the result will be late, so do u think the test is done earlier but they just take them time to tell u!? they told me it will be in 4 weeks but in that time im on holiday!. what can i do!? im living in london

Speak to your practice nurse today!.!. Tell her your concerns and ask if it is possible to pre arrange a time to call from holiday and speak to her to get the result over the phone!.!. That way she can answer any questions you might have regarding the result!.
This time I go my smear I had the results within 10 days where as previously it was always 6 weeks so I dare say it will be back soon!.!.
Worst case scenario if there is a problem identified then a recall will normally be requested within a 3-6 month tim scale!. But I bet the result is absolutely fine!.!.

Try not to worry, if there was anything seriously wrong with your smear test they would let your doctor know quickly; certainly within the 4 weeks!.

if it comes back abnormal they usually wait 6 months before they test again anyway so i wouldnt worry too much unless you have reasons to be worried!.!. (symptoms/reasons other than just normal test ect)Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you are really worried, shy don't you call them from wherever you are on holidays to find out the result of your smear!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
