I went to the obgyn Monday and yesterday the office called me and told me that my pap test was fine but that I had a bacterial infection!. They prescribed me some medicine for it so that was all fine and dandy and I got the medicine she told me to use it for five days, but I didn't even know that I had this!. I dont know how I got it and I was just wondering if it is an STD or just something that happens to women sometimes!. I would appreciate some real and honest answers here!. I dont think that it is an STD because me or my bf neither one are dirty people, but I have never heard of it before and I am kinda scared that I coud have something wrong down there with my woman hood!. first of all, you dont have to be "dirty" to get an STD and i think you are naiive just saying that!.
a bacterial infection isnt an STD!. you can get it a number of ways!. eat some yogurt to boost your good bacteria and take the pills the doctor gave you!. you will probably want to refrain from sexual activity until everything is cleared up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is very normal to get a bacterial infection!. It is not a STD!. The reasons are many, it could be b due to masturbation, or you might have gotten it from the PAP test, maybe their equipment were not that sterile!. It is v!.common to get an infection!. Anything that is being introduced into your vagina can cause the infection!.
For the time being, try not to have intercourse, lest it gets worse, or spreads to your bf!. The medicine given shld help you get well!. Otherwise, you can always go back to the gynae to ask for more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get it from e coli in the water or (this is kinda gross) from getting bacteria from your bum in your vagina!. This can happen when you're wiping down there after you use the toilet!. Sometimes some of it can get in there!. Helps if you wipe from front to back!. I know, it's gross, but my nurse friends say it happens all the time!.

no, thats not necessarily an STD!. though there are plenty of "not dirty people" who do contract STDs!.
it sounds like you just have a bacterial infection which may or may not be sexually related!. its pretty common to get a bacterial imbalance, for which antibiotics usually cure!. just like any other bodily function, sometimes these things get out of whack and you have to balance them back out with meds!. nothing to worry too much about!. you should ask your doc more about it to be sure!. otherwise you can search online once you get the meds to see what it treats!. no worriesWww@Answer-Health@Com

You don't have to be "dirty" to get an STD and many people will take offense to that statement!.!.!.!. however, it could also be Bacterial Vaginosis that you have!.!.!.which is not necessarily transmitted due to sexual activity!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

YOU DONT HAVE A STD,DONT WORRY!. I HAD THE SAME THING A COUPLE YEARS AGO!. IT WAS CAUSED FROM DOUCHING TOO MUCH,IM ALWAYS WORRIED ABOUT HOW I SMELL,I DOUCHED ONCE A WEEK!. its not certainly an std!. ive had a bacterial infection before i took the antibiotics and it cleared up!. i asked my obgyn and she assured me it would go away with antibiotics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your doc would,nt tell you you were fine if you had a std!. it just means bacteria got up in there!. you'll probably have a few more too!. make sure yor boyfriend is clean b-4 doin it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's easy to get a bacterial infection that is not an STD!. You can get it if you've been wiping back to front after using the bathroom because that brings bacteria towards your vagina!. You can get an infection if you douche because that can throw off your natural balance in your vagina, allowing bad bacteria to grow!. You can get an infection if you masturbate with an object or hands that aren't clean!. I would think if your infection was an STD, the doctor would have told you that!. I would suggest, though, that your boyfriend go to the doctor and get checked to make sure he doesn't have an infection that he could pass back to you!.
