Question: Doc thinks thyroid looks swollen!?
I went for my 6 week postpartum check up today and my doctor said that my thyroid looks swollen!. She ordered blood work to be done on me!. I was just wondering if I should be worried, and what does your thyroid control in your body!? Any info would be helpful!Www@Answer-Health@Com

the thyroid controls metabolism,and as such an increase or decrease in thyroid functioning can cause many effects!.look up hypothyroid and hyperthyroid on the net for more info!.dont worry!.a daily thyroid hormone pill will bring functioning to normal!.ive had hypothyroid for years,it doesnt limit me in any way and i feel and look fine!.good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
