Awful pms, and long heavy periods.?!

Question: Awful pms, and long heavy periods!.!?
ugh!. I am fifteen years old and every month I get the worst PMS of any of my friends!. I get bloated, hot, irritable, stomach sick, I get a sore throat every time!. My period lasts for about 7 days!. It is very heavy!. I tend to get sick during my period as well, cold-like symptoms!. I break-out!. I've had cramps that have kept me out of school and home for maybe two days, I never thought anything of this!. I thought it was normal, until I spent a week with my friend on vacation and she had cramps that I would have expected to get any time of my period, but she acted like it hs never happened before!. Hers lasted for about an hour and mine, at their worst, last a full two or so days!? She said she hasn't ever gotten cramps that bad!.I started to ask my friends and they all don't get symptoms anywhere near as severe as mine!. tylenol doesn't help, I tried midol, but it's all very short term!. I can't stand this anymore!. Now that I know that this ISN't normal I can't just let it happen!. (continued)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure your dad knows what you're going through!. Sit him down in private and tell him you want to see a doctor, and that sometimes these symptoms need treatment with the birth control pill!. Tell him you're not at all ready for sex and that's not what this is about!.!.!.even if you are, don't let your dad know! If necessary have him sit in with you in the doctor's appointment while you describe your symptoms so he understands that what you're going through isn't normal, and treatment with birth control pills does NOT necessarily mean you want to have sex!.

You'll likely need a pelvic exam, and and ultrasound to rule out things like ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, or endimetriosis!. (All will likely be scheduled at a later date, not the same day your dad is in there with you!.) You can ask for a referral to a gynecologist if you like, they are experienced with this sort of thing!.

I have the same problem as you, I've been diagnosed as having dysmenorrhea!. I've started birth control pills and it's working wonders for the pain and heavy bleeding!.

Good luck, I hope your dad understands!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

wow, well what i would say is:
first of all, everyones period is different so it doesnt mean that urs isnt normal, u deffinetly shouldnt worry about that and to help ur pms i would say, well, when i have really bad cramps, i just stretch, i dk why but it helps a load for me, i dk if it will work or not for u but its worth a a shot!. umm for medication im not really sure, my period lasts about 4 days and its not too heavy but its not super light but i dont have pms so i dk!. about telling ur dad, i think u should just tell him the truth!. i mean it may b awakward but its better than causing trouble with secrets behind his bac and its better than not doing anything!. for the getting sick during ur period thing, just switch to pads for a day or 2 and see if anything changes, sometimes tampons cause sickness, well ok, i hope this helped, best of luck, email me with any more questionsWww@Answer-Health@Com

i feel really bad for you, i thought my period was pretty bad, but no where near like this (not trying to make you feel any worse) it may be awkward talking to your dad about something like this, so whenever your next check up is, talk to your doctor about it!. You don't need your parents approval to take birth control, but if you want to tell your dad ask your doc what the best way to do it is!. You could also ask he/she to do it for you and then it may not be so bad!.

Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
