Question: Has anyone heard of having a scratchy throat with Mirena IUD!?
I had the Mirena IUD placed about 6 months ago!. I've had one bad side effect after another; things you'd never think could be related--numbness & tingling in extremities, painful breasts, unbearable fatigue, cramping, back pain, etc!. The only thing I haven't seen experienced by anyone else is having a hoarse, scratchy throat!. Does anyone have that besides me!? If not, maybe it has nothing to do with the Mirena!. I'm going through the same thing right now! I just posted a question to others about it!. I read on the internet that the hormone in the mirena can cause sinusitis!. I don't undersand why its happening but I plan on talking to my doctor about it immediately!. I have lots of phlegm building in my sinuses that wasn't there before!. I've never had a sinus infection this bad before!. It doesn't bother as much during the day but at night its horrible!. I use vicks vapor rub with added lavender oil to soothe the pain!. I found that drinking warm liquid before bed and upon rising also helps!. I'll let you know what I find out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
