Should I tell my mom when i get my first period?!

Question: Should I tell my mom when i get my first period!?
I know its going to come soon, but i just dont know whether or not to tell her when it comes!. She told my that when she got hers, she didnt tell her mom, and that her mom just figured it out eventually!. But, i think it hurt her mom's feelings a little!.
I wouldnt exactly have to depend on my mom to buy me pads or tampons either, normally, we go to this big place to go grocery shopping, and i normally branch off to the art supplies, so i could just go to the female product section and get them then!. she gives me about 20 bucks normally, So, i think that would cover it!. The thing is, its really hard talking to my momabout this kind of stuff, and i dont want to make a desision that i would regret forever!.
What do you think i sould do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should tell her!. Beginning your period is kind of like a right of passage and your mom will really appreciate that you told her!. At your age it is hard talking to your parents about that sort of thing but if you can overcome that she will see a different side to you and believe that you are maturing!. She might even be able to offer some good advice!. If its too hard to talk to her try writing a note!.
"Hey mum I got my period today can you please pick me up some supplies!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, why not!. You both are women, i don't see why you feel embarrassed to tell your own mother!.

Just say " Mom, i just got my very first period!. "Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell your mother, it's nothing to be ashamed of!. All women have to go through with it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes tell your mum , my daughter and i went and had a great day out just the two of us!.
and it is a great chance for you at ask your mum questions you want to know!.
i never made my daughter buy any female stuff [ pads, tampons]
until she started getting her own money, to me that is just part of the shopping!.
you say it is really hard to talk to your mum, this talk might bring you closer [i hope so] , you need some one to talk to, and your mum just might surprise you!.
you really need to talk to some one you can trust, if not your mum then someone, you could try the school nurse or health worker!. or your doctor
i would not ask your friends for info just in case you receive the wrong answers,
or keep sending in your questions !.
good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know it's really difficult to talk about these things with your mom, but I think you should definitely let her know!

I told my mom over the phone when she was at work!. I was really nervous and uncomfortable!.!. but she came home to be with me because I was really freaked out!. It's just something moms know how to handle and they really do make you feel better about everything!. She would be really hurt if you didn't tell her, so reconsider telling her ok! She's the best person to tell and rely on in situations like this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
