When to test?(serious)?!

Question: When to test!?(serious)!?
My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on Thursday and I think there is a high chance for me to be pregnant!. I am excited! My question is what day can I take a test and have it be accurate!? I am due to start my period tomorrow but I looked up information about conception, implantation and when hCg appears in your urine!? It says 6-12 days after conception!. Should I go by this if I don't start by then being I am suppose to tomorrow!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think they say 6-12 days after conception because that is based on average ovulation time of two weeks before your period begins!. If you just had sex two days ago you may not even be pregnant yet since sperm can live inside you for three days and they may not even have reached the egg yet!. Even if a sperm met up with an egg, they just met up recently and your hcg levels probably wouldn't show anything on a test!. If you miss your period, or are a few days late then I'd take a test!. The longer you wait the greater the chance that you'll have an accurate reading on the test!. You may take a test today and it would probably say you weren't pregnant because you would have just gotten pregnant but if you waited another 5-7 days the result may be different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should really learn more about how your own reproductive system works!. You are really unlikely to get pregnant by having unprotected sex this late in your cycle!. Cycle day #1 is the day you started your last period!. Most women ovulate around cycle day 14 (cd14)!. Your best chances of getting pregnant are having unprotected intercourse that results in him ejaculating inside of you anywhere from cd 12 to cd 16!. After cd 16 your chances start to decrease!.

From the sounds of it, you had sex Thursday night and your period is due Sunday!. You had unprotected sex on cd 25 or cd 26!. This is an unlikely (although not impossible) time to have sex to get pregnant!. Since the odds are VERY low that you are pregnant, I would wait until your period was several days late before I would test (doesn't make sense to waste the money on a test when you aren't pregnant)!.

6-12 days after conception would be before your period was due for a normal cycle (barely)!. That is why the advice is there to test when your period is missing/late, because enough days after conception have happened and the hCg is then apparent in your urine!. Always use first morning urine for a pregnancy test as it is stronger and the concentration of the hormones should be stronger!.

Again - it's very likely you aren't pregnant!. In your case only test if your period is more than 4-5 days late (maybe next Friday)!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Best thing to do is wait 2 weeks, you may still get something similar to a period and if you are pregnant it should come up positive in a few weeks, its pretty early and I know your excited but be patient!!
