Can you get sore boobs as a side effective of Mirena birth control when you have!
Question: Can you get sore boobs as a side effective of Mirena birth control when you have no periods!?
I have been on Mirena (IUD) for four years now and every once in a while I may spot (this is like once every six months or so)but usually have no period symptoms such as cramping, bloating etc!. I've noticed now that every once in a while I get sore boobs!.!. which I usally attribute to my voracious husband but it takes a long time to go away even after I bar him from my boobs!.!. so it should not be him!. They are usually sore around the nipple area and sometimes I can see that they are hard!. They are painful when my shirt or bra brushes them and even when I'm laying in bed and the edge of the cover moves over them!. So since I have no periods is it even possible for me to have this problem and is it due to Mirena or hormonal changes of a period without all the obvious signs!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had monthly breast pain when I was on the Mirena!. I didn't get periods but it seemed to coincide with the time when I should get one!. I also noticed that my breasts were larger when I had pain so I attributed it to the varying amounts of hormones that surge during the menstrual cycle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
