How do you know when to go to the doctor!?
I think I might be a bit of a hypochondriac because whenever something is wrong with me (e!.g!. headache, stomach pain) I always think the worst!. I go onto self diagnose type websites (which I know isn

Well, the first rule is to find a doctor you are really comfortable with, can talk to and who listens!. Ensure she knows your entire medical history, not just from your charts but from you!. A thorough annual check-up once a year, twice may be better for you, and specialist referrals as needed!. The gynaecologist a must every year unless your own doctor is thorough in this respect as some women doctors are!.

Stop symptom hunting on the web!. If you have a diagnosed medical condition, there are plenty of support groups on the web - just follow yahoo or google links to their health groups for example!. Headaches, joint aches and pains, gastric upsets are all commonplace, and only require a doctor's visit if they are severe and persistent!. Then you certainly should go!.

You do not say how old you are !. If you wish to access my profile and e-mail me for reassurance, by all means do so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should get a checkup once a year unless you are really feeling bad!. headaches and little pains mean nothing really could be just stressWww@Answer-Health@Com

first of all, you are your best doctor!. think about it, when you do go to the doctor, what do you do!? you give the doctor your symptoms, he/she writes them down, leaves you in a freezing room for 20 mins or more, while he/she enters your symptoms in a data base or look it up in a reference book, and then returns with a diagnosis of some sort!. this is about the same thing you are doing!. the only thing you can't do is prescribe yourself medication!.

i am like you!. if i am feeling a little weird, i record when it started and monitor my symptoms!. i personally don't like spending 2-3 hrs of my day in a doctor's office!. fortunately, my husband is an emt/paramedic and is bridging to nursing, and my neighbor is a nurse, so if i don't quite understand what i'm reading on google, i run it across one of them!.

but as long as you have insurance, i say go see the doctor!. one thing about it, the doctor can not tell you that nothing is wrong with you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
