Girls during puberty?!

Question: Girls during puberty!?
i heard that when girls first start puberty, their weight is pretty much the same!. but then when they reach around 14 they start to gain weight and fill out, and when they're finished with puberty around 17 or 18 they lose the weight again!. is this true!? and if so, why!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes this is true!. the weigh gain is due to an increase in hormones which often with any change in hormones weight gain will occur!. after they get older the hormones balance out and their weight returns to a more average weight!. the ages can very from person to person!. sometimes the weight change never occurs!. But it is very common!.

One place that this is often shown is if you try out for a sport and they have a weight section/age the weight for different ages will reflect this concept!.

as far as the answer above about filling out and dieting that is not true!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

During this period, also in response to rising levels of estrogen, the lower half of the pelvis and thus hips widen (providing a larger birth canal)!. Fat tissue increases to a greater percentage of the body composition than in males, especially in the typical female distribution of breasts, hips, buttocks, thighs, upper arms, and pubis!. Progressive differences in fat distribution as well as sex differences in local skeletal growth contribute to the typical female body shape by the end of puberty!. At age 10 years, the average girl has 6% more body fat than the average boy, but by the end of puberty the average difference is nearly 50%!.
I hope this helps
good luck!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
