i think your doctor was trying to scare you!. I have never heard this from any doctor that i have been to, i have been to about 5 different ones due to moving!.
Is this also your mother's doctor!? if so maybe she's asked that the doctor suggest you stay abstinent!. and this is a way to scare you!. Your body have different hormones at different times and this is what causes different flows, also diet and how active exercise wise will effect this!.
Mattering on your age, I think you should check into finding a different doctor or even going to planned parenthood to get unbiased information because your doctor seems to just be handing out one skewed point of view!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
