If you are eating normally and not exercising excessively, it may just be a change your body is going through!. Most people's metabolisms slow as they get older!. A 17!.3 BMI is rather on the thin side, and if this has been consistent for a long time and you are actively trying to gain more weight, you should consult a doctor!. You might have some sort of hormone imbalance or other problem that is preventing you from gaining weight which you would be able to fix with a doctor's help!.
Being underweight can affect your period, but it is also just may be that it is related to your age!. Your periods will likely become more regular as you get older, but if it is very troublesome now, you might consider talking to your doctor about birth control pills, which many women take to regulate their periods!. I was a normal weight throughout high school and had somewhat irregular periods for several years!. Once I started taking birth control (around age 19), my periods became like clockwork!. :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sweets, go see a gynecologist or a metabolic specialist!. Also, as young as you are, your period just may not be completely regular yet!.
You are ok- just get checked by a professional!.
