since you're going through some side effects you should definitely switch to something else!. personally i've never tried the pill and i dont want to!. i've never liked taking pills let alone taking one at the same time everyday!. i use the birth control patch (ortho evra) and i highly recommend it!. it's really easy to use!. you get three patches in one box - one for each week!. you choose a day to be your patch change day and you change it on that day of the week for three weeks!. for your last week you take your third patch off so you can have your period!. and you repeat the same process the following month!. i really like it!. it will help regulate your period and also clear acne!. though you should not use the patch if you're prone to blood clots or have a history of blood clots!. hope i helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on depo for five years then went off of it to be on a pill for a year and I am back on depo now!. You have to give your body a chance to adjust because the new hormones that are in the depo!. Take a lot of calcium and vitamin d!. Make sure you are taking a lot of calcium but you need vitamin d to absorb it!. Give it sometime so that your body can adjust before you think about switching because let me tell you the convience of depo far out weighs the pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might want to ask your doctor about an IUD (Intraunterine device)!. It's a small metal loop that;s inserted into your unterine lining that prevents pregnancy 99!.999% of the time without any noticeable side effects!. It's easy to do, doesn't hurt, and can be removed any time if you want to get pregnant!. I've had friends who had problems like yours on all kinds of birth control and this is the only thing I've never heard a bad word about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been on both!. I started out on the pill (ortho tri-cyclen) and decided to try depo because I thought it would be a much easier method for me!. Within the first couple weeks on depo I did not feel like myself!. I was very emotional, had terrible headaches and no energy!. That was my first and last shot!. I went back to another pill (ortho-cept) and have been on it for 5 years with no problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honestly, it just depends on what pill you get on!. I've been on the same pill for about 4 years now and unfortunately, I've lost my sex drive!. I'm still moody as hell and very irritable!. The only reason I have stayed on it is because I trust it and do not feel comfortable with a switch, but like you, I'm really debating switching to another pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
