Birth control prevents new cysts from forming!. Cysts occur when you ovulate, and the pill makes it so you don't ovulate, so therefore no cysts!
There is no definite proof that birth control shrinks pre-existing cysts any faster that they would shrink on their own without birth control!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don;t think they do anything for ovarian cysts :( I still get them about every other month, mostly on my left ovary!. And I'm on Estrostep Fe birth control pills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
