Question: Have you ever been anorexic, bulimic, or just generally starved yourself!.!.!.!.!?
I just want to find out if eating disorders are as common among females as the media says it is (I believe it though haha), and I know the sample here is sort of small!.!. it is the Y! message boards after all haha!.!.

Personally, when I was 18, I lost some weight and became really toned after doing a physical job over the summer!. However, once I started University, I started to lose the tonedness and gained some weight back so I restricted my calories to 1000/day!.!. then to 500/day!.!.!. then finally to 50/day!.!. until I fainted and I couldn't temporarily see out of my left eye!.
After that I realized it wasn't worth it!.
Now I don't care anymore, I'm still trying to be careful of what I eat, but you will probably see me eating 2 big macs every once in awhile and other random junk food!. And I found once I put less attention on food, I saw it simply as fuel, and I actually became toned again (not that that matters etc) so it's very ironic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i've been anorexic when i was 16!.!.!.!.!.i passed from 49kgs to 44 (am 1,70m tall)!.!.!.!.then i turned into a bulimic for months!.!.!.maybe 1 or or so!.!.!.!.!.
i'm now healthy,still don't like me and think i should definately lose some weight (it's 49 kgs atm),but still!.!.!.!.!.i'm just trying to work out hard and not eat fatty food!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No I've never starved myself, thrown up my food on purpose or anything like that!. But I feel bad for people who do b/c they're thinking is warped b/c not only does it make you feel bad but it is the worst possible thing you could do to you body! I hardly ever miss a meal!.!.!. I just love food! But the funny thing is that I don't weigh much, the best way to stay fit is to eat healthy (not a lot of junk) and excerise!. That's what I do and I'm perfactly happy with my weight! Once I didnt eat anything for a day and a half, and i felt sick and like I was going to pass out so i gave in lol!. My friend once didnt eat anything for 4 DAYS!. Idk how she got through that!.

There is a girl on my dance team who is 13, about 4'10'' and 65 POUNDS! But she isn't anerxic! She is just extremely healthy! Seriously, I have watched her come in the studio with Mcdonalds, Burger King, And tons of junk!. But she really works hard when she dancves so taht probably helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
