More then likely i will be at school when i get my first period!.

You will probably not know exactly when it comes!. You will find out when you pee!. Unless it starts out really heavy (which is rare unless you are older, 13+) it won't feel like you peed!. But when you go to the bathroom you will see brownish stuff (maybe reddish) in your underwear and you should put a big wad of toilet paper in there until you can get a pad!. Don't worry about it, though!. Like 95% of them don't leak through when you get them the first time!. They're usually light!. But if you do feel wet, go check just in case, but don't get paranoid!. When I got it, I was at a sleep over party,
but i didnt go to the bathroom
because i was busy,
but you will feel this strange feeling near your stomach!.
those are cramps, but they aren't intense, they just feel weird!.
you know that feeling that you get in your stomach after you do sit ups, that kind of muscle tightening feeling!?
that is what it feels like, and then you have "spotting" in your underwear!.

I dont see whats wrong with asking your mother!. I had no problem talking to my dad about this sort of stuff and to be honest its more difficult for a male to do it because we have a bigger ego than women!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Always keep a few pads in your purse!. It won't feel much different than regular discharge, but you'll know!. If you feel it coming on or think you'll get it, stop in the bathroom at lunch time to check!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
