Question: Unprotected sex on the 5th day of my period!.!.!?
I had unprotected sex on the 5th day of my period and took ECP's about 80hrs later!. How safe am I!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You CAN get pregnant on the end of your period if you have irregular ones and you ovulate really early!. There's a few days window either side of ovulation for fertilization to take place and then remember that the sperm cells survive a few days after sex as well!.!.!.!.
However, there is a much lower possibility of pregnancy than if you did it around your fertile time!.
The time limit on the medication is because you have to take it before the embryo implants!. Once it implants, emergency contraception usually will be ineffective!.
But, I'm pretty sure you didn't come here for a lecture!.!.!. so my answer is that it's quite unlikely that you'll get pregnant but still possible!. If you don't get a period within the next 4 weeks, take a test - it's the only way you'll know!.

I think the doc's tell you to take plan B no later than 3 days after the accident, but I think I heard some where that it's ok even 5 days after!. But the sooner you take!.!. the better of course!. I think you should be alright!. and to the comment above me (kickin dirt) yes women can get pregnant during their period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually you can not get pregnant on your period because your body is getting rid of eggs!. You have a slim chance and you took ECP's!. You should be good!Www@Answer-Health@Com
