When you buy the box of tampons, it'll have an "instruction booklet" with diagrams!. Read the instructions carefully and review the diagrams!.

Once you're ready to insert the tampon the most important thing to remember is to relax!. It's not painful to insert a tampon, but if you're tense it could make the process a little uncomfortable!. Before putting it in, wash your hands with soap and water!. There are a few different positions you can use to insert the tampon!. Two such positions are either placing one foot on top of the toilet or squatting over the toilet; again you'll have to figure out which way is best for you!. Holding the center of the tampon between your thumb and ring finger and using your index and middle finger to hold the string in place, gently insert the tampon into your vagina!. If you feel pain or discomfort, slow down and relax!. It may take a while your first time!. Once you've inserted the tampon and the center (the part you're holding on to) is at the entrance of your vagina, using your other hand, gently start pushing the exposed end of the tampon!. This releases the actual tampon into your body!. You know it's fully inserted when the end of the part you're pushing meets the center part you were originally holding!.

The string should be hanging out when you're done =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try taking a hot bath beforehand to relax, you don't have to do this every time, just until you get used to it!. Use a plastic applicator (I've been using tampons for a while and I still can't stand the cardboard ones!) and slowly insert it pushing back towards your butt!. Your vagina is sort of shaped like a cupped hand, with the fingers pointing up, so when you feel like it wont go in anymore, push upwards towards your stomach!. It's tricky at first, and takes some practice!. You might also want to try some kegel exercises!. Squeeze your muscles really hard like you would if you were trying to hold in your pee, count to ten, then relax them completely, and then try insertion!. Lubricant can also help, though I would recommend just using it your first time!.

If that doesn't work, you could have a microperforate hymen, which is a thin layer of skin that covers the vaginal opening and can make inserting a tampon pretty difficult!. So, if you're still having trouble or find inserting the tampon to be painful, talk to your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Buy tampons with a plastic applicator b/c they are much easier to get in, especially when you're just learning to use them!. What I do is I just sit on the toilet with my legs spread as far apart as I can get them!. I take the tampon and move the tip around down there, pushing really lightly every so often!. When it gets to the right spot, it will go in very easily!. Just be patient and keep trying!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Read the instructions!.
A good trick is to put one leg on the bath or toilet seat and try inserting it in that position!.
I know this sounds a bit weird but you could try inserting a finger in first so you get used to the feeling a little!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is an insert in the box that came with your tampons!. Read the instructions!. If you can't get it in then there might be a problem!. Don't force them!. You could do irreversible damage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
