Wait... I'm Confused?!?!?!?!

Question: Wait!.!.!. I'm Confused!?!!?!!?!!?
When women have their tubes tied (I have no idea of what the correct name of the procedure is called!?) do they still have menstrual cycles or does it end!? I think it still contines though and tell why!. Please inform me and thanks! My step mom had this done and I just thought about it and wondered and I don't want to ask her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had my tubes tied 13 months ago!. The procedure is called tubal ligation!. They can be cut, burned, tied, clamped or any combination of these!. You still have your period!. You still even ovulate, but the egg never makes it past the part of the fallopian tube that's "damaged"!. It is reabsorbed by the body!.
Hope this answers your question ok hun!.

This is not a hysterectomy, as someone else said!. As long as you have ovaries to release eggs and a uterus that prepares itself for a baby, you will have a period regardless of whether your tubes are tied!. A hysterectomy is when they remove your uterus!. That would result in no pregnancies or periods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's called a hysterectomy as far as I know!.!.
however, yes your period should definitely stop because the eggs cannot travel anymore down your fallopian tubes (hence the hole "tubes tide" theory!.!.)
you can't get prego either!.
