(No Young Kids) Is This a Yeast Infection?!

Question: (No Young Kids) Is This a Yeast Infection!?
It itches, it burns a bit!.

i am using vagisil so calm down the itching, and I am a bit swollen!.

Normal discharge is clear, but when I go deeper it is white with VERY little clumps in it!.

It smells completely normal, so what could be wrong with me!.

Answers:
Different types of infections:

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching
(Monistat would probably work better than vagisil)

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
An unpleasant odor
Pain and itching when urinating
Most apparent after your periodWww@Answer-Health@Com

It most likely is, since those are all very normal symptoms of a yeast infection!. It also could easily be bacterial vaginosis!. Neither are serious of course, although if it doesn't clear up within a week I would definitely see your doctor to get treated!. I had bacterial vaginosis and didn't even know it because the symptoms were so mild - the doctor gave me a week of antibiotics and it was gone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be a very mild or early stage of a yeast infection or if you are at risk for acquiring an STD (sexually active) then that would be another possibility!. My guess would be that it IS in fact a yeast infection and if the over the counter cream isn't helping then schedule a visit to your doctor!. (the fact that there isn't a fishy smell wouldn't rule out yeast infection as the symptoms can and do vary considerably!.) There is also more that just one type of vaginal bacterial infection so it's best diagnosed and treated by your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
