Question: Contraceptive INJECTION!? HELP!?
Hi all, i am due to go to the doctors this evening to start on the contraceptive injection!.!. ive been on the pill once for about a month but kept forgetting to take it as i lead a very busy life style!.
im now 18 years old 5ft 6!.5" and i weigh 121lbs (about 8stone 9)!. (tryin to loose about 9 lbs before my hol)
Will the injection increase my appitite!?
will i get spots!?
will i stil have a regular period!?
how soon can i have intercourse after my initial jab!?
I would be greatfull if anybody could please give me some advise on the injection!.!. ive researched all the pro's and con's, but i would prefer real life advise from people with xperience or that know people who may have been on the injection!.

Well!.!.!. I got on the shot when I was 18 as well!.!.!. By personal experience!.!.!. I gained weight !.!.!. a lot of weight !.!.!. in just 7 months!.!.!. I quit it!.!.!. I gained a whopping 45 lbs!. Despite my efforts on losing weight while on depo!. I eat very healthy!.!.!. I was a gymnast for 12 years!.!. so I know what to eat and not to eat!.!.!. plus I exercised!. I do not recommend depo at all!. As I got bigger my appetite grew!. I was a solid 115 lbs!. I also got ugly stretchmarks from it now!.!.!. for gaining weight so fast and so much of it!.

I totally agree with clair, besides the periods!.!.I still got mine but were very irregular!.!.were on for 2wks, off for 3days then on for 5days and off for 10days etc!. I wouldnt recommend it to anyoneWww@Answer-Health@Com
I went on the jag for the exact same reasons as you, I kept forgetting to take the pill!. At first I thought Depo was great, my periods stopped altogether but I put on alot, and I mean alot of weight!. I jumped almost 3 dress sizes!. I also got sent for a bone scan as I was on it for a few years and was told by my doctor that I had the beginnings of osteoparosis in my spine, which was linked to being put on Depo before I was a certain age!. My doctor recommended me to come off the jag and go back on Pill, which I did!. Since then I have managed to lose most of the weight but not quite it all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
