Paragard IUD - Did your period eventually get shorter?!

Question: Paragard IUD - Did your period eventually get shorter!?
I had Paragard inserted in Feb!. My first cycle after being inserted lasted 2 weeks (mostly spotting and light), my 2nd last cycle lasted damn near 3 weeks (mostly spotting and couple heavy days), and now a week and couple days later it's back (and Heavy)!. Typically my periods last 2-4 days max but I've read that with an IUD they can increase and/or decrease your period!.

If you have the Paragard, did you have a longer period but did it eventually get shorter or back to normally!? And how many months did it take before it got shorter!?

I ask people with Paragard because it's different from the Mirena!. Please don't send my websites, I need real people answer not clinical!. thanks ina advanceWww@Answer-Health@Com

It took four or five months, but my periods eventually got back to normal (pre-IUD) length!. The heaviness of the flow and intensity of the cramps gets a little better, too, after 7 or 8 months, but never back to normal!. It's way worse than before the IUD!. I went back to my doctor several times because I was concerned that the amount of pain and heaviness wasn't normal (they even did an ultrasound- to humor me, I think), but everything was fine!. I have a high pain tolerance, and I've had mine for over 2 years, but the first day of my period is always SUPER rough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
