Question: Birth control question for girls!?
I just wondered!.!.!. does birth control help regulate PMS!? I have pretty bad PMS and I feel as though it seriously wears me out every month!. I get overly sensitive, anxious, and even kind of depressed!. I want to take birth control and I was wondering if it will help my awful PMS to go away!Www@Answer-Health@Com

PMS is awful and Yes, some birth control can regulate PMS! Check out Yasmin and Yaz, which work by regulating electrolyte balance and have anti-androgenic properties!. They contain estrogen and drospirenone!. Others work by avoiding the placebo week, which stops you from having your period for 3 months, which in turn stops you from having the hormone fluctuations that go along with it!. Check out Seasonique and Seasonale for that type of pill!. Some Doctors will recommend a mild anti-depressant prior to your period instead if you don't want to go on birth control!. Well, in my case, no!. I became worse than ever!. I'm taking birth control to regulate my period and I was never much of a PMSer but now it's way worse (not to scare you)!. I highly recommend birth control for other reasons but if it's for PMS I don't know if it'd be worth it!. But you should try it, it's always worth a shot!. Birth control has different side effects for everyone (depression and moodswings being one of the side effects!.) Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
it can do!. mood swings are related to sudden hormone changes so as the pill modulates hormone levels, it can reduce the severity of the moods!.
you might need to try several different pills before one find one that suits you - my best mate had to try 6 different brands before she found one that didn't hate her and make her an absolute b*tch to be around!. ;-s

Depends on what type of pill you go for the mini pill will stop you having periods full stop as you take it straight through with no break!. All of them will help with the symptoms seek advice from your doctor for which one is best for you but the simple answer is yes!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
No it doesnt help PMS, it may for some people depending on your body chemistry!. Sometimes when its really bad I jsut tke Midol, that always helps with teh bloating and kinda helps with the moodiness!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
