Breakthrough bleeding on the pill- stress related?!

Question: Breakthrough bleeding on the pill- stress related!?
I've been on mercilon for about 4 months and I sometime get breakthrough bleeding about a week and a half into a new pack!. It's really quite heavy and then when I'm on the week break it's light!.
When it breaks through my period is painful and more draining that usual and it seems to happen when I'm under a lot of stress!. Can being stressed cause breakthrough bleeding and is there any way to stop it!?

Thanks for your help from a frustrated student!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, sometimes breakthrough bleeding can occur because of being stressed out about something while being on the pill!. I've had it happen to me several times!.

I had to force myself to relax but I also found that taking B Complex was good for helping to deal with stressful situations too!.

I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor as well to let them know what's going on so that they can evaluate the situation further!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

We all get stressed from time to time, but this should not affect your period in the way you describe!. The pill is designed so that it regulates your period so that on the 21 days you take the pills no bleeding and on the 7 days break you menstruate!. Maybe it is time you considered a new pill or totally different form of contraception!. One that would suit your lifestyle as a frustrated student!. Consider the implant, okay it may take 3 months to settle your period but after that it is plain sailing!. Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would go to your GP or clinic, which ever prescribed it to you,I don't think this should be happening, maybe this particular pill does not suit you!.I'm not familiar with this one but if it is a mini pill, this sort of thing can happen with this type & they are not a 100 prct!.reliable either!.I do not think stress would affect the actions of the pill but proffessional advice is what I would recommend & the sooner the better!.Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe you started taking the pill at the wrong time, try comming off the pill for a few month then trying again, this happened to me apart frm my period forgot to stop for 3month
