My vagina just got really, really itchy and its been bugging me since a few days ago!. Im 14 and a virgin and I do not shave!. Ive heard of yeast infection but I dont really know what it is and I dont want to tell mom >-< this is not the first time its been like this, once a couple months ago it was kinda the same but it went away quickly so I didnt think much of it!. can anyone tell me what it is!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like a yeast infection!.
It's nothing to be embarrassed about!. It doesn't mean you're not clean or anything!. Babies can get them!. Tell your mother!.
Since you don't know exactly what it is, I take it this would be your first one, you need to go to a gynecologist or regular doctor before taking care if it yourself!. It could be something completely different!.
Yeast infections will just get worse and worse, so you don't want to wait!.
Go to the doctor!. Most likely, they will just take a look at you!. I had one back in January and my gyno just looked and said "yep, yeast infection"!. So most likely they won't run any tests unless it keeps going away and coming back!. They will just prescribe medication!.

Usually, a vaginal discharge is also a symptom of a yeast infection!. It's difficult to know what is causing the problem, but there are a few things you can try!.
If you are using scented bubble bath or shower gels, stop those for awhile and use a mild soap like Ivory!. Don' t use any scented sprays, powder, lotions, etc!. in the vaginal area!.
Make sure you dry yourself well after a bath or shower!.
If you swim, don't sit around in your wet bathing suit!.
If your jeans or pants are extremely tight-fitting, try a looser fit!.
You might also try applying a Cortisone cream!. You can find these in the drug store or at your pharmacy, even grocery stores!. No need to buy the more expensive brand; a generic or "house" brand will work the same!.
If the problem continues, you will need to tell your Mom!. I'm sure she will be very understanding!. These things happen, and it may just be a hormonal thing that will clear up quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is not normal!. If you are not sexually active then tell your mom, I don't care if it's writing it on a piece of paper, but just tell her to make sure it's not some kind of a bacterial infection because girls go through many things and not everything that goes wrong down there has something 2 do with sex!. Don't be afraid!. I had some problems when I was 10 years old and it ended up being a yeast infection!. I was so embarassed 2 tell my mom!. I ended up telling my aunt to tell my mom!.
