Depo Shot vs Minera IUD?!
Question: Depo Shot vs Minera IUD!?

I am just winding down from my third (and last) shot of Depo Provera!. It gave me horrible acne so after I realized I couldnt get it under control I made the decision to change birth controls!. I told my provider about my situation and side affects from the shot and she initially suggested the Nuva Ring, but then decided the Minera IUD would be my best bet!.
I love the idea of an IUD but I need to know if anybody had issues on Depo that went away when they when they got the IUD!. I understand that Depo and Minera contain the same hormone but I also hear the Minera one stays more local than the Depo!.

If the depo & minera have the same hormones, why dont you think about the implanon!. It lasts for 3 years!. I am on my third & i think its great!.
My skin is better since being on the implanon, especially my roseaca!. My periods have gone completely & i dont have to worry about taking the pill or using condoms for 3 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I actually just took my second, and it's Mirena not Minera, IUD out in November!. I had the first for 5 years and the second for 2!. I took it out to try to get pregnant and it has been 6 months and I am still not pregnant!.
I enjoyed the Mirena just because it gave me freedom!. From shots, pills, etc!. I tried the Nuva ring, hated it and so did my husband!.
I had an eptopic on the Depo, so Mirena was simply the best choice for me!.
I never wanted to have more children until I married my now husband!. Now I seem to not be able to!. But my doctor is going to do some tests on me next month to see what's up!.
Go ahead, especially if you don't want any more children!. 5 years 3 periods or less a year, what can you lose!?
