Question: Birth control fact or fiction!?
I looked around and I read that it takes to 1-2 months!. Also some people say that if you start on a Sunday you must wait a week but if you take it the second you get a period, it starts working!? Sooooo curious!.!.!. what's so special about a sunday!? lolz is this just the common start of taking a pill for a week!? And if you take the pills the day you get a period, does it really work right that instant!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The pamphlet of the birth control pills say that you are covered from the first day if you take it on the first day of your period, and 7 days if you start the sunday, but i really wanted to make sure so i waited to finish the first pack before i trusted it!.!.!.!.!.
And the Sunday start is just so that you start your period during the week, so you dont have it for the weekend!. Also Sunday is considered the first day of the week so it would be easier to remember to start the new pack and keep track of the days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To the best of my knowledge, it takes 1 month!. I don't know if your last two responders were seriously told that it would work right away, but I would wait to make sure!.
I was on the pill years ago, so things may have changed!. When I was on the pill, you started the pack on Sunday, and there were always 28 pills in the pack!. That's when the first pill started!. So that's why Sunday would be the magical day!.
Why not wait a month to be sure!? It's sure better to wait than to be wrong and have the girl get pregnant!. Buy some condoms in the meantime!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you start taking the pill on the first day you get your period, you are protected right away!.
If you start taking trhe pill and you aren't on the first day of your period!.!.!.then you have to wait 7 days before the pill has any contraceptive effect!.

of course it doesnt work right away!. you should wait a month when you first start taking the pills to have sex without protection!. on a sunday start, you start the pill the sunday after the period starts!.!.!.or sometimes one can start the day the period starts!.!.!.but definitely wait a month before doing anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My doctor has always told me to use other protection for a month after starting birth control pills!. Doctors have varying opinions though!.

My doctor told me if I started taking my pill on the 1st day of my period I was covered!. I don' t know where the sunday thing comes from!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
