It's been awhile since I've had this material!.!.!.!.but I'm thinking that macrophages are a type of white blood cell that engulfs bacteria and destroys them!.!.!.!.if the blood smear was fresh it is unlikely that there would be much bacteria for macrophages to appear and destroy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
