What does a smear test involve exactly? and do you have to have one if your a vi!

Question: What does a smear test involve exactly!? and do you have to have one if your a virgin!?
Answers:
They will insert a tool into your vagina and scrape some tissue, then they will check the tissue for cancer cells, cyst, or any abnormalities!. Quick and painless, just uncomfortable!. And yes, even if you are a virgin, you still need one if you have already started your period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Basically they scrape a fine layer of cells from the neck of your womb, or cervix, it helps detect normality or the early signs of cervical cancer (a very good idea as this is an extremely nasty illness often fatal if left)!.
There is some evidence to suggest woman who begin to have a sex life at an early age are more at risk of developing this cancer, But this doesn't mean if you didn't you are not going to develop the illness and don't need to check!
Once your sexual organs are mature you should have smear tests regularly even if you are a virgin!. If it worries you, take a female you trust to support you like your Mum and ask for a female Dr or Nurse Practitioner to perform the test!.

EDIT:Potentially the test could break your hymen but it isn't important and it is not a proof of virginity as was once believed, you could break your hymen going for a jog, riding a bike or horse, during a fall or with a tampon!. It isn't important but a smear test is REALLY IMPORTANT!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

ive never found the smear to be sore exactly, can be little uncomfortable when the open up the speclum tho and you can feel the scraping in the pit of your stomach!

if your a virgin theres no need for a smear as cervical cancer comes from something your partner can give you!.

i started getting appointments in from when i was 17 i think, because i was on the pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, even if you're a virgin, you should still get a pap test annually, or as often as your doctor recommends!. This is because a pap tests for pre-cancerous cervical changes!.!.!.and they can occur even if you've never had sex (only about 70% are HPV-related)!.

Not to mention the fact that a pelvic exam also checks the rest of your reproductive organs!.!.!.not just your cervix!.

Talk to your regular doctor!. He or she is perfectly qualified to perform this exam!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They are looking for abnormal cells, that would indicate cancer!. I remember being told I needed to start getting them when I started my period!. I didn't get them until I decided to start taking birth control to regulate my period!. Which was in my early 20s!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
