Question: Taking several Bitrh control pills at once!?
Ok my friend and I were just on the phone and I was reading her questions I had answered on here and when I got to a pregnancy on she remembered to take her birth control pill!. Well she had missed 8 days and she took all 8 at once to catch up!. I told her not to do it but she says that it's nothing to worry about!. Could this get her sick now!? Could it have long term effects like keeping her from getting pregnant later in life!? These are what I'm wondering!. Any answer to these or any other serious answers is greatly appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The pill packet insert itself says not to take them to "catch up" if you have missed more than 2-3 days!. I don't think that it will actually hurt her, but would definitely screw with her cycle for that month, and leave her unprotected against pregnancy for the beginning of the cycle, since she actually went without taking an active pill for almost 2 weeks (the week of her period when she was taking the last 7 non-active pills, and then the next week when she forgot to take any)!. If she can't remember to take a pill for 8 days, then the pill is not the right option for her and she should check into other methods of b!.c!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
