Does your period stop while in water?!

Question: Does your period stop while in water!?
I personally experienced having my first period while in the pool, but no one ever noticed!. I just saw a red-brown stain on my white bathing suit when I got home!.
I've got a pool party on Saturday, and today is the third day of my period, so it should be light be then!. I'm going to ask my mum what I should do; she might buy me some tampons!.
I'm curious, though: I've checked through Yahoo! Answers for the answer to this question, and it's strange how half of the answers say that the pressure of the water stops your period from coming out, and the other half say that it's just a myth!. Does anyone have any websites giving this information!?
All opinions are appreciated!. Thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To some extent, yes, water slows the flow!. But, if your flow is heavy, you could still end up bleeding in the water!. Learn how to use the tampons and use them, otherwise you could end up in some sort of embarrassing situation, don't risk it!.
Tampons are a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it they are awesome!. If you don't understand the directions of how to insert them, open one and pop the tampon out of the applicator in the air to see how it works, then throw it out!. Btw if the tampon hurts when you've put it in, you put it in wrong (like not in enough), so remove it, throw it out, and use another one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't say how old you are but your going through your first period!.!.!.safe to say that you would be between 12 - 14!.!.your periods are influenced by hormones, heavy or light makes no difference, some of the loss will go unnoticed as you are swimming in lots of water!.!.not very nice if you happen to lose lots but non the less embarrassing!.!.!.and not very good for other bathers either!.!.!.you would be advised by some medics not to use tampons too early an age as often even young mothers have some difficulties using tampons! good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
