As far as I know, Norplant was taken off the market in the U!.S!. (for no good reason, as many European countries still continued to use the method safely and effectively) and the company re-released what is basically the same product, renaming it Implanon!.
Implanon is very effective:

Also, Implanon is very safe, at least as safe as other methods:

i would not consider the norplant safe birth control!. it can give you blood clots and can cause strokes!. theres all kinds of adverse effects norplant can give you!. you probably won't get pregnant with norplant--but, it's a big health risk!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
