My son has IBS so I feel like I know where you're coming from!

I just recently found two good books !.!.!. the very best (and a quick read !.!.!. about 30 pages, then 175 recipes!) is "Eating for IBS" by Heather Van Vorous!. She has IBS and has done research (experience + science/ research = good in my book!)

I followed her recommendations for my son (lots of soluble fiber !.!.!. plain pasta with a bit of garlic salt is good, whole wheat bread is TOUGH on tummies) LOW fat (i!.e!. just about none!) and low sugar!. Never put a "harsh" food on an empty stomach!.

Also, getting lots of sleep and keeping stress down is important!. It's hard to be a student with IBS - my son misses class time because he's not feeling well, then gets behind which creates stress which adds to the problem!. It's a vicious cycle!

You may need to speak to her school and see if you can help out at school!. Once my sons teachers and staff were aware of how serious this is, they were very helpful!.

Good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would talk to the doctor he/she may give her something to help her!.!.!.My sister has this a suffers all the time, she is on many meds, she has other stomach issues to!.!.!.Just call the doc you may be able to get something over the counter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be her diet!. Dairy products can be a problem!. She should see a gastroenterologist to diagnose her problem!. Bentyl is an antispasmotic that can ease the contractions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
