I accidently left my tampon in too long?!
Question: I accidently left my tampon in too long!?
Um so i think that i may have left my tampon in for like 14 hours (long story) that was this morning and i dont have any TSS symptoms but i want to know what i should do and any symptoms i should look for and when i can say for sure that i am safe! thanks and please answer cause im really scared!Www@Answer-Health@Com

they way you contract tss is when bacteria get into your vagina when inserting a tampon anf then the longer you leave it the longer they have to multiply normal bacteria need like 12-24 hours to start growing in numbers so thats why its important to not leave a tampon inside for too long as its perfect temp and moisture conditions, so its of great importance to WASH your hands BEFORE and AFTER you insert a tampon as you have bacteria on your hands all the time!.!.!.im sure your fine you just have to watch that you dont get light headed and get a fever if you suspect anything go to a doctor atraight away tss can be fatal very quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you don't have a fever or any pain, you're fine!. Drink a lot of water to make sure you flush out your system!. Cranberry juice is good too if you have it!.

i have left a tampon in for quite a few hours and have never had a problem!. TSS is serious but not common!. If i remember right you usually develop a rash and also a fever!. Check WebMD to be sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should be alright!. I always leave mine in overnight and this is for 10-12 hours and I am fine!. Just go to the doctors if you start experiencing any symptoms of sickness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you get a fever and rash, then you could have TSS, but really, i wouldn't worry!. It's really rare and I have left tampons in for longer before!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Don't be scared you should be ok!. Really!. As long as the tampon wasn't dried up inside of you (sorry to be graphic)!. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
