Do tampons throw a woman's period off?!

Question: Do tampons throw a woman's period off!?
my usual schedule is 2 heavy days, a normal, nothing, then 2 light days!. i've found that wearing a tampon to bed stops leaks quite effectively (a problem i've always had, yech)!. but every time i've done this, my schedule is seriously thrown off and my period won't show up until maybe midday, and the predictable pattern mentioned above is nowhere to be seen!. so, my Q is, is this normal!? have other women out there experienced these 'delay' effects!?

PS-- my avatar is male, i know that, but i'm a non-chemically transitioning female-to-male FtM transsexual, still subject to female hormones :SWww@Answer-Health@Com

Tampons have nothing whatsoever to do with what is occurring in respect of your period apparently not arriving on schedule!. This is occurring because tampons are placed high in the vagina, right up against the cervix - whereas pads of course catch the flow after its already left the body!. I suspect that what is actually happening is that your use of tampons overnight equates to a much more efficient soaking-up of your menstrual flow, so it then takes a couple of hours for the flow to become obvious to you - ie!. midday!.

I realise I havn't articulated this terribly well, but it's a bit difficult to explain clearly!. Anyway, hope you got something useful out of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I've experienced this! It's quite frustrating, isn't it!.!.!.you think you're done, then HELLO I'm back!! lol So what I do is use tampons during the day, pads at night so I know I'm getting "emptied out"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no!. It will make life easier!. You also are stopping the flow farther up the uterus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
