How long does it take to recover from laparascopy surgery?!

Question: How long does it take to recover from laparascopy surgery!?
I am 36 years old!. I run a preschool and have 2 young boys!. I am used to go-go-go! I have been having longer than normal periods for the past 3 months(9-10 days), heavier than normal flow and horrible cramps that make me double over!. The doc has suggested this procedure to rule out some things!. I just wanted to know how long i would be "laid off" so to speak!. The doc has also suggested that I have a hysterectomy and that would solve the problem!. However I am very afraid of this!. If I had to have a hysterectomy, how long would I have to ecover from that!? Only serious answers please!. I go to the doc tomorrow!. I just think that women that have had similar experiences and gone through these things sometimes know more than the docs do!. After all, it's our bodies we are talking about, right!? Thanks and God BlessWww@Answer-Health@Com

I've had three laproscopic surgeries and it takes me roughly 2-3 days to recover!. I try having surgery on a Friday and i'm ready to go on Monday easily!. However, with a hysterectomy the recovery time will be a bit more, A) because a lot is being removed and B) you may end up needing a laparotomy!.!.!.if it ends up being laproscopic I would say probably 4-5 days, if its a laporotomy I would say probably a week or two!.
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it took like two days but i wouldnt left anything up to twenty pounds due to it is will make ur stomache hurt worse!.i would try other options before deciding on getting a hysterectomy!.thats what i would do!.try birth control for awhile see if that would help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That was how I had a hysterectomy and the recovery time is 4-5 days!.Lifting is out so be aware of that!.The pain will be less then what you are already experiencing and your energy will increase much!.be blessedWww@Answer-Health@Com
