My wife is pregnant with our first child and is miserable from "morning sickness" do you have any advice on what helps to overcome this discomfort associated with pregnancy!? We have searched the internet and found very little helpful information!. (Types of food, medication, etc
Answers:
My biggest morning sickness troubles came from smells and tastes!. Eliminate anything that bothers her from the house, i!.e!. garlic, fish, garbage, whatever makes her feel sick (and make sure everything is CLEAN!)!. Use aromas to soothe the nausea, like candles, rooms sprays, but nothing too overpowering like air fresheners!.

Make sure she eats something, anything, for breakfast!. Even crackers!.

Ginger tea, peppermint tea, or whatever tea she enjoys will soothe the stomach and provide good smells!. I drank peppermint tea and ate lots of candied ginger!. Healthy eating always helps too!. Not sure what trimester she's in, but my sickness abated at 9 weeks, and was gone completely at 14 weeks!.

For some reason the smell/tatse that disgusted me most when I was pregnant was bergamot! I couldn't drink Earl Grey tea for a couple of years afterward!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is a medication called Reglan frequently prescribed to women who have bad morning sickness!. She can ask her doctor for that!.

Personally, I think taking any medication during pregnancy is unnatural to the baby and should be avoided!. Especially something like morning sickness that isn't going to last forever!. Reglan has a lot of side effects and can even cause a condition called tarditive dyslexia where random parts of the face twitch, the person has involuntary movements of the tongue outside of their mouth, etc!.

Be cautious with whatever she puts into her system because it's not only affecting her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mother used to eat saltines before getting out of bed in the morning to ward off morning sickness!. I never had morning sickness, I had what I refer to as "Frozen Food Aisle Sickness"!. Every time I went shopping, all those boxes with pictures of food on them in the frozen food aisle set me off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had really bad morning sickness!.!. But did not want to take any medications because of the side effects it could have on my unborn child!.!.
But i did find that chewing peppermint gum and sucking on hard candies mad me feel alot better!.!.
Also drinkiing lots of water!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
