Choose Foods Carefully to Manage PMS Symptoms

esist the temptation to eat salty foods the week before your period!. During PMS, women often report an increase in water retention, resulting in uncomfortable bloating!. Salt contributes to this problem!.

Examine your diet for hidden sugars!. Sugar causes a quick upswing in energy, followed by a severe decline of blood sugar levels!. Reduce sugar consumption to level out your blood sugar, keeping your PMS cravings under control!.
Manage your caffeine intake to reduce moodiness!. Moodiness is often aggravated by PMS!.

Increase the amount of water you drink to help flush out toxins!. It is a myth that extra water causes additional bloating!.
Make Simple Changes to Your Diet to Control PMS

Cut back on large meals and eat smaller portions more often!. This may help you to keep your stomach from becoming uncomfortably full!.

Reduce your cravings by using the rule of halves!. Use half portions to manage your meals, keeping your calorie count under control while enjoying the foods you crave!.

Opt for whole grains and natural foods!. If you dread the bland tastes of oat or bran muffins, choose tastier alternatives, like whole grain pasta!.

Steer clear of the dessert case after enjoying your meals!. Use fresh fruits to tame your sweet tooth, avoiding refined sugar

A heating pad should help a lot, actually!. I've also found that lying on my left side, slightly in a fetal position, helps too!. Without going into too much detail, lying on your left side shifts your organs differently than laying on your right and alleviates a lot of things!.!.!.cramps, abdominal cramping not realted to your menstrual cycle, gas and bloating!.

If you don't have a heating pad, you can use a sock filled with rice or beans!. Just pop it in the microwave for a minute or so to heat it up!. Place the sock over different areas of your pelvic region where you are feeling the pain the worse!. I would suggest this (as well as the heating pad) while laying on your left side!.

I'd suggest getting some pain killers!.!.!. they really do help!. If you're like me and can't swallow big pills, get some Advil and chop them in half!. You can mix them in with food, or whatever you need to do!.

But besides that, yes taking a warm bath helps!. Also:
-Masturbation (hah!.!.!. think what you like!.)
-Warm heating pads / water bottles on your lower stomach / back
- Thumper (massager things) on your lower back, and lower stomach!.
-Exercise (it releases pain killers, or something like that!.)
- Vitamin C!.!. apparently!. I think that may be just a rumor though!.
-Chamomile tea!. Sipping hot tea relaxes your muscles, as well as chamomile helps to relax your body!.

I hope this helps! And seriously, go get some pain pills!. I actually suggest NOT midol, cuz for me it takes like 4 hours to actually kick in, and I feel like I'm going to vomit for those 4 hours!. AND it gives me super weird dreams!.!.!.

Good luck :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Also, a couple of days before my period, I don't drink anything that is RED or sugary and I drink lots of water!. It helps calm the cramps down!. Also, try not to wear anything that is tight!.!.some lose sweats or shorts should suffice!. But right know, some honey tea and warm Ramen Noodles does the trick!Www@Answer-Health@Com
